    Requirements
Knows how the chess pieces move

    Description
Checkmate is a game-ender. You can sacrifice potentially all your pieces except for example a Knight but deliver checkmate with that Knight. Or even a pawn. As such checkmates creates great dynamic opportunities in Chess middlegames and encourages attacking and dynamic players to try and expose the opponent's King as far as possible to help enable checkmate attacks.

This course examines the patterns and processes which enable mating opportunities on the chessboard. There are various "art" forms covered in this course and artistic perspectives as well.

The basic art form of checkmates is to know the mating patterns that exist and can often be re-used or encourage deeper calculations. But other forms of checkmate often involving attracting the opponent's King out of his shelter and sometimes down the entire chess board creating an artistic effect in it's own right. Sometimes the opponent's king is simply attracted a little bit down the board and his reverse options to safety are prevented. Brining the opponent's King even just a little bit to our own resources creates an artistic effect of seeming effortless and reinforces the importance of King safety independent of the opponent potentially sacrificing many pieces. The King is a sensitive piece especially in the Opening and middlegame but can of course be freer in general to come out to play and be useful in endgames. Even in endgames though, dangers of being mated need to be factored in continually, and may be part of the necessary way of winning certain endgames.

    Who this course is for
    Beginner to intermediate chess players
More advanced players wanting to check out checkmates of World champions and other great players

the cake. The necessary mixing bowls , spatulas. 6", 7" and 8" round, oval or square cake pans. A stand cake mixer
if available. Otherwise a hand mixer is sufficient. A dose of love to go into the cakes

    Description
The cakes in this course are old fashioned elegant butter cakes with an infusion of liqueur, which you can bake for your loved ones. Loved ones can be your spouse, girl or boyfriend, mum, dad or grandma or grandpa. An adult brother or a sister. Uncles and Aunties. Or it can be an elderly folk who is staying at a nursing home whom you have grown fond of. Or maybe a visit to a long lost good friend. Perhaps you would like to celebrate a good friend s birthday and bake a cake as a gift. The recipes here are for small cakes. It is baked in 6 ,7"or 8 round, oval or square pans.Small but elegant and baked with butter and liqueur with a touch of buttercream, glaze or frosting. As the cakes are small in size, it can be baked in a counter top electric oven or a Microwave convection oven. The size of the baking pans is also crucial as this will determine the baking time and temperature. However, take note that every oven is different so make adjustments according to the oven being used. Some of the cakes bakes better in a funnel or tube pan. There are many ways to make butter cakes. It depends on whether a soft fluffy cake is preferred or a heavy dense one. Basically butter is the main ingredient so a good butter is preferable. The rest of it are flour, sugar and eggs. Other ingredients will depend on the flavor of the cake. The flavors of the cakes are paired with the respective liqueur to give a distinct taste for the ultimate in butter cakes. Normally liqueurs are drunk as cocktails or aperitif but in this course it is added to make the ultimate butter cakes for your pleasureI learnt to make these cakes from a reputable teacher in my country and he has since passed on. He was very meticulous in the preparation of this cakes. So much so that timing to cream the cakes is crucial to avoid over creaming. This is to ensure that the structure and texture of the cake will not be compromised. Over creaming will result in a more dense and chewy texture as the gluten in the flour has been overworked. It is best to try and follow the timing to achieve the desired resultsThe liqueurs used are Tia Maria, Cointreau, Kirsch, Kahlua, Amarreto, Grand Manier and Cr me De Menthe. Liqueurs are distilled spirits with various flavors of herbs or spices, oils, extracts, cream, fruit , flowers or nuts and some are sweetened with corn syrup or sugar.Tia Maria is a dark liqueur made using coffee beans with the addition of rum, sugar and vanilla. Kahlua Is a coffee flavored liqueur and also contains rum, sugar and vanilla and arabica coffee.Cointreau is an orange flavored liqueur mix of sweet and bitter orange peels and sugar. It is colourless.Grand Manier is a mix of cognac, distilled bitter orange essence and sugar.Kirsch is a colourless clear brandy made from morello cherries. It is a fruit brandy with a clean cherry fragrance and bitter almond taste. It can be used in cooking and flavoring as well.Amarreto is a almond flavored liqueur.Cr me de menthe is a sweet, mint flavored liqueur, either colourless or green.Cherry brandy is a full flavored cherry flavor with a slight almond tasteRum is not a liqueur but a distilled alcohol made from sugarcane byproductsBrandy is also not a liqueur but a distilled alcohol made from fermented fruitsThis is a brief description of the liqueurs that will be used in the cakes. There will be minimal icings as the focus is on the flavor and taste of the cakes. Too much icing on the cake will tend to distract the taste of the actual cakes. You can choose to enjoy the cakes plain as well. The cakes will taste better after a few days once the flavor is mellowed in. If you prefer not to use liqueur in the cakes, it can be substituted with milk or other liquid. For the flavor, extracts or essences can beused. Just ensure that the cakes and flavor matches. The cakes are best served at room temperature for the ultimate taste.

Understand, ignite, enhance & strengthen your clairsentient, claircognizant, clairalient and clairgustant gifts

    What you'll learn
uncover signs in your life that indicate that you're already naturally clairsentience
understand the benefits of tuning into and listening to your intuition
determine if claircognizance has been playing a role in your life already, consciously or not
gain an appreciation of the things that intuitive people do differently from everyone else
understand and appreciate the lesser-known clairs of clairalience and clairgustance
acquire tips that will help your intuition to flow better in Angel and Oracle card readings
activate your clairsentience, claircognizance, clairalience and clairgustance through the chakras with support from the archangels
appreciate, and therefore look out for, a common mistake that all intuitive card readers make at some stage
practice a variety of exercises designed to enhance and strengthen your clairsentience, claircognizance, clairalience and clairgustance
receive answers to commonly-asked questions about intuition, answers that will help you better understand and give you better confidence in your intuition
learn how to develop and strengthen your intuition with the help of Angel and Oracle cards

    Requirements
You must have completed "Ignite Your Intuition Pt1" before proceeding onto this second part of the course as Part 1 lays fundamental and pivotal foundations which will better enable you to ignite the various intuitive gifts (or clairs) covered in this part of the course.
Although this course touches on how intuition can play a role in Angel and Oracle card readings, a knowledge and understandning of Angel and Oracle cards is not a must.

    Description
Before I introduce you to Part 2 of this Ignite Your intuition course, I just want to check that you ve completed Part 1.In Part 1 we laid some really important and pivotal foundations, in particular we learned about the monkey mind and how to quieten it. If you haven t yet completed Part 1 of this course, I would encourage you to do so, in order for you to really move forward and, not only ignite, but strengthen your intuitive muscle. We ll start Part 2 of this course by picking up where we left off in Part 1, by continuing to activate, develop and strengthen the remaining 4 clairs: clairsentience, claircognizance, clairalience, and clairgustance. We look at what each of these clairs are and where there might already be signs of these intuitive gifts playing a role in your life. You ll also have access to a variety of practical exercises designed to activate, strengthen, develop, nurture and ignite your remaining 4 intuitive gifts. And, if you re an angel or oracle card reader, you ll understand how your newly ignited intuitive gifts can play a role in your card readings.Again, this part of the course is very practical-based with a medley of meditations, visualisations and exercises that you can practice, on repeat. This is purposely so. Because our intuition is just like a muscle, once re-discovered, re-ignited and re-activated, it can only become strong through regular exercise. Just like you ve no hope of lifting a 100-kilo weight one day you casually dander into a gym after never having lifted weights before, so too you can t expect to ignite and activate your intuition and, then, simply run with it. To develop, enhance, and strengthen your intuitive muscle takes time, dedication, and practice. This course will provide you with all the practical support and guidance to strengthen your intuition. However, only you can devote the time, dedication and practice to ignite it so that it becomes an integral part of your everyday life. After we have completed the final clairs, we ll turn out attention back to intuition, in general. We ll answer commonly raised questions (and doubts) about intuition; questions and doubts that you may also be thinking about, so that you can move forward with trust and confidence in your intuition. We ll then move on to considering the role of intuition in your everyday life. What benefits does using your intuition attract? And what do intuitives tend to do differently, naturally? We ll end this course by spending a brief moment focusing on the role of intuiton in Angel and Oracle card readings. Whilst this course is designed to guide anyone to ignite their intuition, it would be remiss of me not to mention the role of intuition in card readings.So. Begin today to ignite, strengthen, develop and enhance your remaining 4 intuitive gifts through exercises, meditations and visualisations, to learn about the many benefits of using intuition in your everyday life and what makes intuitives different, and special, and to find out how intuition can positively benefit you as an Angel and Oracle card reader, taking your readings to a whole new level.Sobegin today to ignite, strengthen, develop and enhance your remaining 4 intuitive gifts through exercises, meditations and visualisations, to learn about the many benefits of using intuition in your everyday life and what makes intuitive different, and special, and to find out how intuition can positively benefit you as an Angel and Oracle card reader, taking your readings to a whole new level. As Amit Ray said, When you know the knower within, you don't need to know further"Viv xx

How your knowledge of a chosen theme or area can enhance your readings
The value and benefit of having a single working deck and how your knowledge around it can boost your readings

Appreciate the importance that colours and symbols play in retrieving messages and guidance through your cards
Understand the role the accompanying deck s guidebook plays, or does not play

    Requirements
If you haven't done so already, I recommend you, at least, complete "Reading Angel & Oracle Cards (Beginners)", or the equivalent thereof, as an understanding of how to read Angel or Oracle cards.
Additionally, some angel and oracle card reading experience (for yourself or others), is a must before attempting this course. This course does not teach you how to read cards, rather it teaches you how to better interpret your cards and, so, existing experience is a must.

    Description
There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that s your own self ~ Aldous Huxley, English writer and philosopher.I have found that the Angel and Oracle card readers who truly blossom and flourish in their craft of card reading are those who have two traits: a hunger to practice and hone their gift, and a desire to learn more and improve their understanding and knowledge. So, when asked why I would pull together a course to help card readers better interpret Angel and Oracle cards, I answered, so I can watch fellow card readers blossom and flourish . Because I know that this course will attract those very card readers. This course has been over a year in its creation. Because it has taken me that time to sit back and observe how I read cards for both myself and clients. It has taken me that time to pull together and collate personal experiences, both present and past, that I can share and which you can learn and grow from. And it has taken me that time to observe the struggles of students, just like you, to answer their questions, to guide and support them through those challenges.Every card reader will go through a time of struggle, whether it s self-doubt, lack of confidence, experiencing panic during a reading. Perhaps you turn over a card in a reading and the message doesn t come through, you go blank, you panic. Or you promise a reading only to find that the guidance you receive runs out too fast or dries up too quickly, leaving you floundering, wondering how you can extend and pad out a reading that is becoming too short and too succinct. Or you re sharing a message with someone and they look at you blankly, not understanding the message, and knocking your confidence.Maybe you ve experienced such struggles already? Perhaps that s why you re here?Perhaps you know already that being in a position to better interpret Angel and Oracle cards will ensure you don t experience such struggles again or, if you do, you'll know how to navigate them calmly and confidently. When you are prepared, when you ve learned from someone else s experience, struggles you may come face to face with as a card reader, whatever struggles they may be, can be calmly and confidently navigated. This is exactly what this course is designed and created to help you to do.In this course you will find guidance and advice, tips and hints on what you should do, and importantly why you should do it, so you better interpret your Angel and Oracle cards. The lessons, guidance and practical exercises included in this course will give you the confidence you need to better interpret Angel and Oracle cards, will answer the many questions you may have buzzing round your head about interpreting cards, will invite your intuition step in to play its pivotal role, will prepare you to calmly navigate your way through challenges and struggles that may arise and much more. So, begin today and let the messages of guidance flow unhindered and unrestricted through you, receive messages through your cards that are more personal, more in-depth, more relatable, more memorable, more meaningful, and feel confident, calm and relaxed when you turn over a card, inviting your natural-born gift of intuition to engage and provide the most wonderful guidance. If you have a desire to learn more and improve your understanding and knowledge of Angel and Oracle cards, if you wish to blossom and flourish as an Angel and Oracle card reader, then this course has been created for you. You don t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great ~ Zig Ziglar, American author and motivational speaker.

Are you among the tens of millions who play chess or checkers? Do you have great memories of playing Chutes and Ladders or Sorry! as a child? Chances are you have some type of board game in your home

Are you among the tens of millions who play chess or checkers? Do you have great memories of playing Chutes and Ladders or Sorry! as a child? Chances are you have some type of board game in your home. Even with today s competition from video games and smartphone apps, board games are as popular as ever. And while the games themselves provide hours of challenge and enjoyment; their storied history can be even more fascinating. In Great Board Games of the Ancient World, your expert Tristan Donovan takes you on a journey into thousands of years of ancient cultures and intrigue as you learn about the fascinating backstories of the games we all love. With his passion for both history and gaming, Tristan not only teaches you the origins of the games we know today but also how to play (and win!) more than a dozen games in 12 fascinating lessons.

Board games are one of humanity s most ancient pastimes. For as long as people have been living and congregating together, they have been playing games with one another. Board games have been found dating back as far as 3,000 BCE, with some evidence going back as far as 5,000 BCE. They satisfy our competitive nature and our need to be challenged, but they also allow us to have fun and exchange ideas in a social environment. Consequently, while we tend to look at great works of art or marvels of engineering to understand ancient civilizations, often a simple board game can reveal just as much about who we once were and who we are today.

    Sharpen Your Wits

Trying to prove ourselves better than the next person is a desire as old as humanity itself, and often a matter of life or death. But for the past 5,000 years, almost since the beginning of civilization, we ve taken at least some of our battles to the game board. Again and again, players have tested themselves in games of strategy, where luck played no part sometimes gambling for money, but always for the title of best.

In Great Board Games of the Ancient World, you ll learn how to play some of the greatest strategy games that ever existed. With an average of 35 possible moves in any given situation, chess is known as one of the most challenging games ever created. But it is the game of go with an average of 250 possible next moves that is held in highest esteem in East Asia. While you will easily learn the rules of playing the game of go in this course, you ll also understand why it can take a lifetime to master.

Backgammon is another ancient strategy game, but it has added the element of luck. While the person with greater experience and knowledge will win more often over the long term, the element of luck means that a complete novice can still beat a much more seasoned opponent.

In this course, you will learn to play a variety of strategy games to test your wits, including

Mancala. Still played around the world today, but especially popular in Africa, this group of games ranges from the simple awari, to the extremely complex bao. Mancala-style pits have been found dating to the Neolithic period, around 5,500 BCE, potentially making it the most ancient game of all.
Royal Game of Ur. An ancient Sumerian strategy game, the Royal Game of Ur seemed lost to history until cuneiform tablets holding the missing rules were finally decoded by archaeologists in the 20th century.
Merels. Strategy games for two players, these games are still played around the world today. In fact, you re very familiar with the most simplistic of the merels family of games tic-tac-toe.
    Board Game Evolution

We buy our board games today in colorful boxes with standardized rules neatly spelled out. But throughout history when games were hand-crafted and carried from place to place whether by merchants or warring armies local people put their own spin on them, changing the rules a bit or the board itself to reflect their own locale and beliefs.

In this course, you ll learn about the fascinating histories of ancient games including

Backgammon. The game known to the Romans as tabula morphed into many closely related games over the years before eventually becoming backgammon. To increase the action, changes were made not only in ancient times, but as recently as the 20th century.
Chess. Chaturanga was a game of tabletop warfare created in India and starred replicas of the soldiers, elephants, horse riders, and chariots that gave the Gupta rajas their kingdom. Over time, those pieces came to be more abstract, and the queen was given the power to move all over the board right around the same time that Europe found itself ruled by powerful queens, too.
Mancala. Awari and bao, two mancala games, traveled from Africa to the Caribbean and Arabia with the slave trade. Today, these games serve as fun activities as well as a record of the African diaspora.
The Ancient History of Your Favorite Childhood Games

Unlike so many other household items that are relatively new inventions, many of the board games in your house have an exciting and long backstory. For example, that set of checkers in the cabinet has a fascinating history that goes back 1,000 years to the ancient game called alquerque. It also seems related to kolowis awithlanknannai, a strategy game played by the Zuni tribe of North American Indians. In fact, many of the board games played by children today were played in one form or another by their ancestors 40 generations ago.

Who were those ancient players and what were their goals in creating games? Some of these board games involve strategy, some are pure luck, and some were originally developed to teach the players how to get into heaven. In this course, you ll learn about the surprising history of common board games including

Chutes and Ladders. This game of luck, described today as appropriate for children as young as 3, was originally created to teach the path to spiritual enlightenment. Previously illustrated as snakes and ladders, the game was developed across the Indian subcontinent more than 2,000 years ago with a variety of boards to reflect the beliefs of the Hindu, Jain, and Sufi Muslim communities.
Connect Four. Unlike almost all the other games illustrated in this course, this strategy game is played on a vertical board. Looking very modern in its primary-colored plastic, it is a direct descendent of the merels family of strategy games, one of the most popular groups of games from the Middle Ages.
Sorry! This is a game of both luck and strategy for up to four players. It is a direct descendent of a game known as pachisi, developed on the Indian subcontinent about 2,000 years ago.
Far from being trivial or meaningless pursuits, board games reflect our attitudes about the deepest questions of life. Is our every move under the power of an omniscient creator who determined our fate before we were born? Do we rely on our own wits and skills to create our future? Are our lives just a matter of sheer luck? For the past many millennia, ancient and modern peoples alike have been contemplating these compelling questions, often fashioning their answers into seemingly humble board games.
