This course will teach you how to integrate empathy into personal and professional communications to build positive relationships and improve your emotional intelligence.
The nuances of emotional awareness may seem hard to grasp, but it just takes a little effort and understanding to make empathetic communication a habit. In this course, Dr. Sweta Chawla will demystify the process. First, you'll uncover the intricate processes of the brain and body during communication, emphasizing the impact of self-awareness. Next, you'll address the challenges of discussing emotions, offering tools to enhance empathy skills. Finally, you'll explore the significance of non-verbal cues in listening and the role of empathy in creating a safe, expressive environment. After this course, you'll be adept at employing emotional intelligence to foster meaningful connections and provide effective support to others.

Your workforce is the lifeblood of your company. You need qualified, trustworthy employees in order to hit your business goals- but building a high-quality team is no easy feat. More than half ( 56%) of the people in a recent survey. Lied on their resume, mostly around work experience, education, skills and job duties. While a small fabrication may not be a big deal in some industries it could be downright dangerous and irresponsible in others. Candidate omission can be just bad-if not worse- than simple stretching the truth. For instance someone with a recent history of violence may not be forthcoming about their past. An incident in the workplace could put customers and other employees in danger which could lead to negligent hiring lawsuits and permanent damage to the company reputation. It's a best practice to implement background screening across your entire organization, but tailor the employment screening packages by position. For example you may wish to require credit checks for positions that manage money and driving record checks for positions that involve operating motor vehicles. Your background check policy should specify what types of information you will consider in employment decisions. It's considered a best practice to take into account the nature of the position sought the nature of the crime and the amount of time since the conviction occurred. Overview

Description
The Alpha Mare Course is a peer support project with a unique selling point: horses. At With Horses, we know that the prospect of spending time with horses can motivate and inspire isolated and all kinds of people. However, women have a special affinity with them. As prey animals, horses are powerful yet vulnerable. The psyches of both horses and women are connected as they have a shared understanding of what it can feel like to be prey. Like the lead mare in the horse herd, women are nurturers. They are programmed by society to take care of others and are prone to make personal sacrifices. Due to putting their own needs last, they don't always access help for mental health. This course will help you learn to provide a medium-term, intensive Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) intervention designed to engage isolated women in peer support. Women and girls aged 16+ who experience mental health issues can take part. They learn about horse care and training as well as engaging in mental health discussions, developing life skills, confidence, improved mental and physical health and social networks. The Alpha Mare Course enables women experiencing mental health issues to set boundaries, make healthy choices, build self-esteem and cope with change. The course facilitates peer support as women join together to take part in a meaningful activity and bond over a shared interest. This equips women with the confidence and communication skills to talk about their mental health, form a supportive 'herd' and discover their inner Alpha Mare qualities.
