Jérôme Rebotier est un compositeur français de musique Ã* l'image et de chansons.
Après des études de musique Ã* l'American School of Modern Music Paris et un parcourt d'auteur compositeur interprète (il monte en parallèle plusieurs groupe de musique pop rock), Universal France le signe en tant que compositeur. Il travaillera sur des titres des 2 premiers albums d'Olivia Ruiz (avec Chet en tant qu'auteur sur les chansons « Vitier » et « Paris » notamment) mais aussi pour Horace Andy et Edgar Novak.
Il compose sa première musique Ã* l'image pour Laissons Lucie faire, le premier film d'Emmanuel Mouret, avec David Hadjadj. Il collaborera ensuite avec, entre autres, Delphine Gleize et Tonie Marshall.
Suivra sa première collaboration avec Matthieu Delaporte et Alexandre de La Patellière pour le film La jungle et qui signe le début d'une étroite collaboration puisqu'il travaille depuis sur tous leurs films.
Il poursuit sur les longs métrages Papa ou maman 1 et 2 de Martin Bourboulon, Sahara (film, 2017) de Pierre Coré et Cherchez la femme de Sou Abadi, Ã* l'international aussi avec Rafael Lewandowski La dette et A Son of Man film équatorien.
Il commence aussi un travail sur plusieurs séries de documentaires Les routes de l'esclavage ou La guerre des enfants entre autres.
En 2018 il crée avec Agoria et Nicolas Becker le collectif « Jan », pour lequel ils proposent des musiques Ã* l'image pour des projets, des films en France mais aussi Ã* l'international.

Is violinist Julia Fischer in the same league as David Oistrakh in her recording of Brahms' Violin Concerto? Are Fischer and cellist Daniel Müller-Schott in the same league as Oistrakh and Mstislav Rostropovich in their recording of Brahms' Double Concerto? No: Oistrakh and Rostropovich are playing big, muscular, and heroic music while Fischer and Müller-Schott are playing intimate, sensuous, and lyrical music. Fischer's tone is lovely, her technique is impeccable, but best of all his interpretation of the Violin Concerto is sweet, smiling, and joy-filled. Müller-Schott's tone is warm, his technique is impressive, but best of all his interpretation of the Double Concerto with Fischer sounds like a love duet from an Othello written by a German. Together with the lush and enveloping accompaniment of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra Amsterdam led by Yakov Kreizberg, Fischer and Müller-Schott turn in performances that aren't in the same league as Oistrakh and Rostropovich -- they're in a wonderfully seductive league of their own. PentaTone's super audio digital sound is rich, full, deep, and just about real.

Creedence were the first to sign up for Woodstock. In April 1969, the Fogerty brothers' band pocketed a cheque for $10,000. Now that they'd landed such a big fish, the organisers knew that other big names would start looking for their own spot on the bill of what was set to be THE festival of the year... But all the same, the group were disappointed to find themselves with a very late billing, between half past midnight and 1:20am, after the Grateful Dead. But that didn't do anything to dampen a perfect performance, presented here in full and remastered. In 1969, Creedence Clearwater Revival was already one of the most popular acts of the day, thanks to their three albums Creedence Clearwater Revival (May 1968), Bayou Country (January 1969) and Green River (August 1969, released two weeks before Woodstock). At the height of the reign of the Beatles and Stones, John Fogerty's Californian gang had something original up their sleeve: savage, raw rock'n'roll, built from rough-hewn, unadorned blues and country. Creedence marked themselves out with their marriage of redneck ways and a hippie style; of tradition and rock'n'roll modernity. Flanked by his big brother Tom, drummer Doug Clifford and bassist Stu Cook, John Fogerty would serve up Dantean hits like Born On The Bayou, Proud Mary and Green River: which are all given a lively, strong treatment here. As ever, Fogerty brays down the mic like a madman (his version of Screamin' Jay Hawkins's I Put a Spell on You is a show-stopper) while his brother provides pared-down, sharp and affecting guitar lines. DJ Spinna's accomplishments surpass those of most DJs, yet he remained strictly an underground artist despite his astonishing talent. Though primarily known for his hip-hop work, Spinna also expanded his reach to include downtempo house music as well. The New York DJ remixed tracks for many artists such as Soulstice and Nightmares on Wax. He also produced a number of artists such as rappers Guru and J-Live and his own rap group, Jigmastas. Along with his partner, MC Kriminul, the duo debuted as Jigmastas in 1996 with the single "Beyond Real," which they released on their own independently operated label of the same name. Besides his Jigmastas albums and his occasional productions, Spinna mixed several albums for various labels. For instance, Raiding the Crates (2002) compiles tracks from the Chicago deep house label Guidance, and The Beyond Real Experience, Vol. 2 (2002) compiles tracks from his own label. In addition, Spinna was deeply connected to the BBE label, most notably through Strange Games and Things (2001), which creatively compiled an eccentric blend of old-school tracks such as Eddie Kendricks' "Girl You Need a Change of Mind," Rick James' "Mary Jane," and Donald Byrd's "Wind Parade." He also mixed 2009's The Boogie Back, which focused on late-'70s and early-'80s post-disco. ~ Jason Birchmeier
