I'm Eila Adams, thanks for joining us at Naked News today. We've got lots to get to, including an educational and timely Public Service, Assperiment. But first, the NCAA's March Madness basketball tournament is down to the Final Four! Here the headlines.

Two of the top seeds have advanced - UConn and Purdue - along with fourth-seeded Alabama. But the big shock is that eleventh-seeded NC State upsetting Duke seventy-six-sixty-four to join the ranks of the lowest-seeded teams to ever get to the Final Four! That's going to throw off MORE than a few people's brackets, no doubt! Including some in OUR bracket contest, though our current leader, "BCOWAN26" seems to be doing just fine. UConn will take on Alabama, and NC State will face Purdue, on Saturday.

Niagara Region, near the Canada-US border, has declared a state of emergency in preparation for next week's total solar eclipse! The reason is that millions of people are expected to flood into the area, which will be right in the eclipse's path of totality! The massive influx could potentially overwhelm traffic, mobile networks, and emergency services. So plan ahead, folks!

And crews have begun removing the wreckage of the collapsed Francis Scott Key bridge in Baltimore. The bridge was destroyed last week when an out-of-control cargo ship crashed into it. While rebuilding the bridge will be the ultimate goal, the urgency right now is to clear the channel and allow the Port of Baltimore to fully reopen as quickly as possible. It's one of the county's busiest ports, and the hub for automobile imports to the U.S.

Okay, most of our viewers will probably recognize you from your audition, which aired March seventeenth. You went by "Bre" there - so do you actually prefer that or the full "Breanna"? Then that's what we'll call you from here on! And speaking of that audition, how did you think you did?

We got LOTS of emails from people who wanted to see you again, so we're all glad you could make it. To start things off, I have a question for you, are you an iPhone or Android user? How important is it to you to have a newer model? What model do you currently have? What features of your phone do you use the most? How much time do you spend on your phone on any given day? Well, for anyone out there who loves their OLDER iPhone, we've got some bad news for you about Apple's next big update!

Thanks Bre, and welcome to the show. This June, Apple will be rolling out iOS 18 for iPhones, and it's apparently set to be the BIGGEST update ever! Rumor has it it'll include FOUR new artificial intelligence-powered features including large language models and a generative AI app called iWork. BUT, word is that the major additions can only run on iPhones that have their A12 Bionic chips. That excludes iPhone 8 Plus and earlier models. That would ALSO mean those older phones won't get access to FUTURE iOS updates. So, if you haven't snagged a new iPhone since 2018, now's your excuse to upgrade!

Germany's national soccer team has found its self in the midst a Nazi controversy. And its all because of the redesigned number four used on its jerseys. Apparently when they're combined as the number forty-four, they look an awful lot like the logo for the Nazi paramilitary unit, the SS! There's no current player with the number 44, so the resemblance wasn't noticed during the design process. But fans - or, more accurately, neo-Nazis - started buying customized jerseys online, with the double-digit combo. The German Football Association removed the customization option pending a redesign.

And nobody won last night's Powerball, which means the next draw will be a monster one-point-oh-nine BILLION dollars! That'd be the fourth-biggest jackpot in the lottery's history. If there's a lucky winner for Wednesday's draw, they'll have the choice of a twenty-nine year annual payout, or the lump sum of about five hundred and twenty-seven million dollars. Before taxes. The odds of winning are slim, 1 in 292 million, but hey, someone's going to win, right! We wish you lots of luck!

All right, now let's start things off with a little chat about MARRIAGE! Who here actually WANTS to get married one day? What do you think are the benefits of being married versus being single? Do you see any REAL difference between being common-law versus married? Do you think you could be with just one person for the rest of your life?

Well, before anyone starts planning the wedding, they need a partner, and to find a partner we have to go on dates. Probably lots of FIRST dates, and we all know those can be painful. Has anyone here ever cut a first date short? And if so, why?

Did you tell them why you were leaving? Like, that it wasn't working for you, or faked an emergency?What would you say are valid reasons for saying "nope, this isn't working, I'm done" mid-date? Are there any circumstances where you'd GHOST in the middle of the date? Like, pretend to go to the washroom or something, and just bolt without a word? Has someone ever bailed on YOU in the middle of a first date?

All right, maybe not a first date issue - or maybe it is, I don't judge - but now I want to talk bedroom skills. What do you all think makes someone BAD in bed?

Well, sex and relationship expert Miranda Christophers has revealed her list of six things that'll get you labeled "bad in bed" by a partner. Let's take a look at them.

1 - You lack confidence. That leads to boring sex, in the dark, under the covers, with no spontaneity

2 - You're easily distracted. You lose the connection with your partner, and they can tell

3 - You're embarrassed to talk about sex. You won't learn what they want in bed, or leading up to it

4 - You're stuck in a routine. Your sex gets predictable and boring, and that's always bad

5 - You feel shame when you can't perform. That adds pressure and takes away the fun for both of you

Most celestial events don't have sponsors, but Monday's solar eclipse will feel quite branded! For instance, Pizza Hut will have a "Total Eclipse of the Hut" promo where every large-sized pizza goes for twelve dollars. Meanwhile, from Friday through Monday, Krispy Kreme will be offering its "Total Solar Eclipse Donut", which - thanks to a strategically placed Oreo - LOOKS like an eclipse! But if you REALLY want to stay on theme, be sure to get the limited edition SunChips AND the Moon Pie Solar Eclipse Survival Kit!

In more pressing news, an open letter calling on tech platforms to stop devaluing music through A.I. has attracted some major names! Among the two hundred-plus artists who've signed on, you'll find Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj, Jon Bon Jovi, Katy Perry and many more. The letter penned by the Artist Rights Alliance notes the potential of A.I., but wants to avoid uses that "undermine or replace the human artistry of songwriters" and deny them fair compensation. Makes sense to me!

And the BAFTA Game Awards has confirmed something we've long suspected: Lara Croft is the most iconic video game character of all time! The Tomb Raider extraordinaire took top spot in an online poll, and it's well-earned. Since her introduction in 1996, Lara Croft has appeared in fifteen games and three films, and also has a Netflix animated series in the works. Perhaps most impressive, ladies, she edged out Super Mario who's been around for over FORTY years and has appeared in OVER TWO HUNDRED video games!

I've got five words for you: Angelina Jolie and Bob Hoskins.

I'm mostly just shocked that Pac-Man didn't crack the Top Five! We'll see you later Frankie.

We've got a lot to get to today, but I'm starting things off with the story so big, even the haters couldn't ignore it: women's college basketball! On Tuesday's show, we'll be telling you the winner of our March Madness pool, as well as recapping the men's final. But for now, I'll just say it'll have to be phenomenal to surpass the show the women put on!

In the national championship game Sunday, the South Carolina Gamecocks earned their second championship in just three seasons, beating Iowa 87-75. They also became just the tenth NCAA women's basketball team to pull off an undefeated season! Hawkeyes star and national player of the year Caitlin Clark ALSO made history! With her thirty-point night, she became the all-time leader in points in the NCAA Tournament with four hundred and ninety-two! Plus, her eighteen first-quarter points were the most ever for a quarter in a championship game! Can't wait to see what she does in the WNBA!

One of the largest cash heists in L.A. history just took place! The FBI and LAPD are reportedly investigating the burglary of a San Fernando Valley money storage facility where the thieves made off with as much as THIRTY MILLION dollars, in cold hard cash! The burglars apparently got into the building and the vault without setting off any alarms, so it seems they either had inside knowledge. or they're just that good!

And in Europe, police have come down hard on a group that allegedly defrauded the EU's post-pandemic recovery fund! Twenty-two people were arrested across Italy, Austria, Romania, and Slovakia, and the assets seized were worth roughly SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION dollars! Included in the haul were Lamborghinis, Porsches, Cartier jewelry, and Rolex watches! The group reportedly received non-repayable grants in Italy to help made-up businesses, then transferred the funds to the other countries. but hey, at least they kept it classy! Don't go away.
