Welcome everyone, to a fresh new week here at Naked News! We've got a great show for you today, including a hot edition of Pillow Talk with sexy guest Jenna Jones! And speaking of hot, summer is fast approaching, which means so is the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs from June first to November thirtieth. Details on how THAT's expected to go are kicking off today's news!

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has released its 2024 Atlantic hurricane forecast, and it could be a doozy! Near-record high Atlantic water temperatures, and the Pacific's La Nina conditions are in effect this year. Because of that, the NOAA is giving an eighty-five percent chance of an above normal season, expecting a range of seventeen to twenty-five named storms! Of those named storms, eight to thirteen are likely to become hurricanes. And four to seven of THOSE are expected to be MAJOR hurricanes!

In other news, we've got some SHOCKING numbers regarding diet drugs and who they're being prescribed to. This comes from a new report in the Journal of the American Medical Association! In just three years, the number of young people between just twelve and twenty-five years old, being prescribed drugs like Ozempic, has risen six HUNDRED percent! As of 2023, over sixty thousand American patients in that age bracket were prescribed Ozempic and similar drugs, monthly. Childhood obesity in the U.S. is around TWENTY percent, with the National Library of Medicine calling it an "epidemic". Maybe it's time for more outside activities instead of screen time!

And Tesla's shareholders are being urged to REJECT the ten-year, fifty-six BILLION dollar pay package the company's board of directors has recommended for Elon Musk! Back in April, the board recommended the massive payout, saying Musk's work has, quote "helped to generate significant growth and stockholder value", endquote. This despite huge drops in sales and share values - and of course all those layoffs. So now, a proxy advisory firm is calling the deal "excessive", and pointing out how much of Musk's time is spent on his OTHER companies, like X. Tesla's annual meeting is on June 13 so we'll find out soon enough what happens here.

If it passes, it will be the largest pay package for a CEO in corporate American history. I'm hoping it doesn't. That's your first look at the news, don't go away.

So Kat, I hear you did your very first Naked In The Streets last week, how did that go? Well I'm sure you did amazing and we'll let everyone know when that gets scheduled into the program. For now though, I have a question. When you're planning to fly somewhere, do you try to avoid the busiest dates, you know, to avoid all the airport crowds? Well, Memorial Day weekend just passed in the US and it's always a popular time for people to hop on a plane and get away.

That's right, and this year, it set a RECORD for number of travelers. Ronnie Foxx is in the Naked Newsroom with the story!

That's right ladies, this past weekend didn't just see big days for airline travel - it saw the BIGGEST day in U.S. history! The Transportation Security Administration, or TSA, announced that on Friday it screened an incredible two million, nine hundred and fifty-one thousand, one hundred and sixty-three people across the country. That topped the PREVIOUS record set last Thanksgiving! It's been a HUGE year for flying so far, with 5 of the top 10 busiest days EVER, happening in 2024, and it's only May!

In other news, the world's rarest and most expensive album will be displayed - and PLAYED - at an Australian gallery! Only one copy exists of "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin", the Wu-Tang Clan CD once owned by notorious "pharma bro" Martin Shkreli. He paid two MILLION dollars for it in 2015! The CD is in a hand-made nickel box, with a leather-bound manuscript of its lyrics, and has a clause blocking the music's release for eighty-eight years. Visitors to Tasmania's Museum of Old and New will join the EXTREMELY short list of people who've ever heard parts of its tracks.

And military dogs are scary. Robots are scary and rifles can be scary too. So the Chinese military's new robot dogs with automatic rifles mounted on them are downright terrifying! Video of the four-legged robodog showed it walking, crouching, moving backwards, and leading an infantry unit in a mission into a building. A Chinese soldier acting as a spokesperson said it could conduct reconnaissance, identify enemies, and strike targets, enabling it to replace humans in some operations. Yeah, I think I'll stick with my Yorkies! That's your first look at the news, don't go away.
