Imagine: she paints her face as if she wasn’t going to school, but to a whorehouse. And what will the cheerful farmer’s wife do? A cat-o’-nine tails hangs on the wall and it’s used every day. The naked bottom is covered with stripes and bruises, and tears of pain mix with crying and yelling.

But that’s not enough. She’s just recovered from one beating and another round is coming. Her friends encourage her to shave her privates, and while doing so, she blunts her father’s razor.
