Excellent notion, Mr. Vercingetorix!! Congratulations and thank you on your historic pursuits. And a hearty hand of appreciation to all your esteemed contributors as well.
Learning about one's past is essential for discovering ones future. These examples of our glorious past that you and your colleagues have so willingly offered are not only inspirational, but perhaps hold the keys to our very existence.
I can certainly concur with you (so noble a man as you) as it pertains to some of your choices and distinctions within the ranks of the truly great that you have brought forth, and might indeed have some particular favorites of my own, but often these are subject to change or modification, as it is, so let me refrain from any comparisons at this time and simply offer that I appreciate and see the value in yours.
And adding, in the further spirit of appreciation, let me be rightly understood when I declare that there were many, many great ones, and that they are all worthy of some of the praise and honor that we steep upon them here, (for which a great debt is owed to you), and most of them have been duly catalogued, indexed and represented here by you and your very capable team in the many volumes and texts that you have provided, (AND, in living color, of all things...I guess they DID have color back then) for further study and analysis for generations to come.
The important thing, imo, is that we cherish our past and embrace our differences as we move forward to seek the best possible future for all of us. And, like you, I agree, carrying forth these great role models from our distant, and not so distant past, is imperative. Let us never forget!!
Dorothy Stratton, if I absolutely had to pick one!!
